Kiwi (h) 6-12 inches. This low-growing, mound-forming succulent forms rosettes of fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves that are uniquely colored. The rosettes are pale yellow in the center and become progressively more colorful in shades of chartreuse green to pink, until reaching the edges of the leaves, which are marked with red. Yellow flowers bloom from spring through fall, and new growth appears in the fall. When used in the landscape, plant in morning sun rather than afternoon. |

Zwartkop (h) 12 inches. This bushy plant has gorgeous, tightly packed, darkest purple leaf rosettes at the end of narrow branches. |
| CRASSULA coccinea (p) full sun to part shade |

nodulosa (h) 10-18 inches. Exquisite red markings define the interior and edges of each leaf. This slow-growing succulent has rosettes that grow on branching stems 8 to 12 inches tall. Pinkish white flowers appear in spring. |

MAKINOI-OGON Perhaps the brightest of our groundcover sedums. Its small, rounded leaves are pure gold (as the Japanese name indicates) flushed pink. Alas, this is not as cold hardy as many sedums. Protect from hot afternoon sun. Zones 7-9

| SEDUM hispanicum (p) full sun |

BLUE CARPET (h) 2-4 inches. Miniature, silvery-blue foliage that looks just like Blue Spruce. Very pretty delicate appearance. Tends to stay quite compact, making more of a tiny shrub shape than the draping texture of the larger types. |
| SEDUM lineare (p) full sun to part shade |
Variegatum (h) 4 inches. A superb garden plant that forms a lush, evergreen mat of 1 inch long, narrow green leaves with white margins. Blooms infrequently, producing short panicle of yellow flowers. Slow growing. |
